Guided Trips

To become a professional top-rate guide there are three key ingredients you need: Having the patience to help anglers accomplish their goals, being a positive teacher to others, and enjoying helping others succeed at the sport you have grown to love.

This is the professionalism you can expect from a trip with Landon Mayer. Not only will he help you catch fish, but will prepare you to be productive in future fly fishing adventures. A day on the water with Landon will be an experience you will never forget!

WHAT TO BRING?

The weather in Colorado can be unpredictable. Fly Fishing the high country at elevations of 8,500 to 9,200 feet is breathtaking, but can bring rapid changes in temperature, wind, and precipitation. As they say if you don’t like the weather in Colorado wait ten minutes! To assist you with being more prepared for your day on the water, here is a list of items you should bring with you:

  • Polarized Sunglasses
  • Baseball Cap / Brimmed Hat
  • Sunscreen / Insect repellent
  • Rain gear
  • Socks
  • Camera
  • Layered clothing for wearing under waders (i.e. long johns, fleece pants, etc. jeans are not recommended under waders, as they can be uncomfortable and do not wick moisture well). Avoid wearing cotton as any layer.
